    There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in VBA. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

    An exciting game was played in Saigon. First ranked Can Tho CF faced 3rd placed Saigon Heat. Guests from Can Tho (12-2) defeated host Saigon Heat (8-6) 91-80. Can Tho CF forced 19 Saigon Heat turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Can Tho CF made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) who had a double-double by scoring 29 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks. Swingman Tam Dinh-Thanh (192-95) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Tavarion Nix (201, college: Midwestern St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Can Tho CF have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost. They share it with Hanoi B.. Can Tho CF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saigon Heat will play against the league's second-placed Thang Long W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a good game for swingman Tam Dinh Thanh (192-95) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. DeAngelo Hamilton contributed with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for HCMC W.Can Tho CF have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-2 record. HCMC W. lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Can Tho CF will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. HCMC W. will play against the league's second-placed Thang Long W. (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.

The best for the losing side was Thanh Nguyen-Quoc with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hanoi B. moved-up to third place, which they share with Saigon H. HCMC W. lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. Hanoi B. will meet Danang D. (#5) on the road in the next round. HCMC W. will play against the league's second-placed Thang Long W. and hope to win that game.

    In the last game of round 9 Danang D. was defeated by Thang Long W. in a road game 93-79.



    Can Tho CF - HCMC W. 88-84

    Leader Can Tho CF delivered the twelfth victory. This time they beat 6th ranked HCMC W. (1-12) 88-84. It was a good game for swingman Tam Dinh Thanh (192-95) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 rebounds. American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Five Can Tho CF players scored in double figures. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized American Henry Nguyen (, college: Orange Coast CC) added 22 points and 5 assists in the effort for HCMC W.Can Tho CF have a solid series of three victories in a row. Thang Long W. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and naturalized American Justin Young (197, college: Cal Poly Pomona) chipped in 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds and the other American import forward Chris Dierker (201, college: Madonna) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thang Long W. have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Danang D. lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with ten games lost. Thang Long W. will meet bottom-ranked HCMC W. (#6) in the next round. Danang D. will play against Hanoi B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
