    TAVARION NIX

American Tavarion Nix (201-SF) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Saigon H., receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 8.
The player was the main contributor (45 points, nine rebounds and three assists) to his team's victory, helping them to crush Hochiminh CW (#6, 1-10) with 21-point margin 100-79. Thanks to this victory Saigon H. moved-up to the 3rd position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Saigon H. will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team's last game Nix had a remarkable 64.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Saigon H.'s top player in his first season with the team. Former Midwestern State University star has very solid stats this year. Nix is in league's top in points (3rd best: 24.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 13.5rpg) and averages impressive 58.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was American Zach Allmon (203-F) of Danang Dragons. Allmon had a very good evening with a double-double of 35 points and 17 rebounds. Bad luck as Danang Dragons lost that game 71-82 to slightly higher-ranked Hanoi B. (#4, 7-6). Danang Dragons managed to keep the same 5th spot in the standings. 10 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Danang Dragons managed to get this year. Allmon is a newcomer at Danang Dragons, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.7ppg (#1). He also registered 14.1 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Jaywuan Hill (203-F/C-89) of league's second-best Thang Long W.. Hill got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seventeen rebounds . He was a key player of Thang Long W., leading his team to a 80-69 win against #1 ranked Can Tho CF in a game of the week. Thang Long W. needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Hill has a great season in Vietnam. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.4ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 13.2rpg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
    4. DeAngelo Hamilton (203-F/C-90) of Can Tho CF - 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists
    5. Michael Bell (206-F-82) of Hanoi B. - 21 points, 17 rebounds and 2 assists
    6. Quinton Doggett (206-F-90) of Hochiminh CW - 20 points and 7 rebounds
    7. Tam Dinh Thanh (192-G/F-95) of Can Tho CF - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
    8. Chris Dierker (201-F) of Danang Dragons - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
    9. Ngoc Tu Le (179-PG-90) of Hanoi B. - 21 points and 3 rebounds
    10. Justin Young (201-F/C) of Thang Long W. - 16 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
