    There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in VBA. What a coincidence that all visitors won their games. There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and favorites losing the games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

    The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Can Tho CF (10-2) at the home court on Thursday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Thang Long W. (7-4) 80-69. Thang Long W. outrebounded Can Tho CF 53-27 including a 38-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds and naturalized American power forward Justin Young (201, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who added 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: Washington St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thang Long W. have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Can Tho CF at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. Thang Long W. are looking forward to face Danang Dragons (#5) at home in the next round. Can Tho CF will play against the league's second-placed Saigon Heat (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
    Very important is a home loss of second ranked Saigon Heat (8-5) against fourth ranked Thang Long W. (7-4) on Sunday night. Host Saigon Heat was defeated by Thang Long W. in Saigon 73-62. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Saigon Heat. The winners were led by American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds and Justin Young supported him with 11 points. Thang Long W.'s coach Predrag Lukic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 19 points and 16 rebounds by American Tavarion Nix (201, college: Midwestern St.) did not help to save the game for Saigon Heat. Thang Long W. have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Saigon Heat at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Thang Long W. will play against Danang Dragons (#5) at home in the next round. Saigon Heat will play against the league's leader Can Tho CF and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Can Tho CF will meet league's second-placed Saigon Heat on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hanoi B. will play against Hochiminh CW and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Danang Dragons will play against Thang Long W. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
    The game in Hochiminh supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Saigon Heat (8-5) played at the court of 6th ranked Hochiminh CW (1-10). Saigon Heat smashed Hochiminh CW 100-79 on Thursday. Worth to mention a great performance of Tavarion Nix who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saigon Heat maintains second position with 8-5 record having just one point less than leader Can Tho CF. Loser Hochiminh CW stay at the bottom place with ten games lost. Saigon Heat will face league's leader Can Tho CF at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hochiminh CW will play against Hanoi B. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.



    Danang Dragons - Hanoi B. 71-82

    The game in Danang was also worth to mention about. Third ranked Hanoi B. (7-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Danang Dragons (3-9). Hanoi B. defeated Danang Dragons 82-71. American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. Naturalized Swedish guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Hanoi B. players scored in double figures. American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) replied with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Chris Dierker (201, college: Madonna) added 18 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Danang Dragons. Despite that victory Hanoi B. went down to fourth position due to points difference. Danang Dragons lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with nine games lost. Saigon Heat smashed Hochiminh CW 100-79 on Thursday. Saigon Heat dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Hochiminh CW's 50. They outrebounded Hochiminh CW 38-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American Tavarion Nix (201, college: Midwestern St.) who helped to win the game recording 45 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Minh Trieu-Han who added 18 points during the contest. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Corey Cilia (178, college: Cal-Santa Cruz) scored 24 points.
