    Darius Lewis
American Darius Lewis (211-C-94) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Saigon H. and that's him to receive a Asia-basket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 23-year old center had a double-double of 18 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team outclassed Hochiminh CW (#5, 3-7) with 39-point margin 102-63. Saigon H. maintains the 2nd position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Saigon H. will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. Lewis turned to be Saigon H.'s top player in his first season with the team. University of Duquesne graduate has very impressive stats this year. Lewis is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.1ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 14.8rpg) and averages solid 1.9bpg,2.3spg and 55.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 25-year old Canadian center Rudolphe Joly (208-C-92) of Danang Dragons. Joly impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Danang Dragons lost that game 60-66 to slightly higher-ranked Hanoi B. (#4, 5-5). Danang Dragons are still at the very bottom. 7 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Danang Dragons managed to get this year. Joly is a newcomer at Danang Dragons and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 14.0rpg and 3.4apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Henry Nguyen (G) of Hochiminh CW (#5). Nguyen showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, six rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Nguyen's great performance Hochiminh CW lost 63-102 to the higher-ranked Saigon H. (#2, 6-2). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Hochiminh CW not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Nguyen could try to bring Hochiminh CW's a little bit higher in the standings. Nguyen has individually a great season in Vietnam. After only 9 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.7ppg (8th best), rebounds with 5.3rpg (7th best) and assists with 3.4apg (best passer).

Other top performing players last week:
    4. Vincent Nguyen (178-PG-95) of Hanoi B. - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
    5. Ngoc Tu Le (179-PG-90) of Saigon H. - 19 points and 2 rebounds
    6. Pham Duy Pham (182-PG) of Saigon H. - 18 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists
    7. David Arnold (188-SG) of Saigon H. - 10 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists
    8. Huynh Hai Nguyen (174-PG-87) of Saigon H. - 18 points and 2 assists
    9. Bilal Richardson (203-F) of Hochiminh CW - 17 points and 15 rebounds
    10. Jason Carter (206-F-92) of Hanoi B. - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
    The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
