Thang Long Warriors are VBA champions. They held off Can Tho Catfish in the decisive fifth game of the championship series. The hosts trailed by 10 points after three quarters before their 42-17 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Thang Long W. shot 30 for 42 from the free-throw line, while Can Tho CF only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Thang Long W. forced 21 Can Tho CF turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Can Tho CF helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. Naturalized American power forward Justin Young (201, college: Cal Poly Pomona) contributed with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners.
