Uzbekistan suffered a heavy loss to China at Asian Games tonight. The team thus fell at 0-3 record at the bottom of Group E. China stayed unbeaten with a perfect record of 3-0. Wang ShiPeng (197-F/G-83) led the winners with 20 points.
Uzbekistan stunned China early in the encounter as they were up by one 10:9 after five minutes of action. But gradually the hosts shook off the sloppiness. China increased the tempo and outscored their opponents 26:15 in the first frame. China limited Uzbekistan to just 4 points in the second period taking a comfortable 48:19 lead at halftime. Things just got worse for Uzbekistan in the second half. China dominated every facet of the game as they piled up a massive 77:29 lead heading into the fourth term. China looked confident as they coasted to the victory in the final quarter. Zhizhi Wang knocked down 18 points. Zhang QingPeng (189-G-81) netted 17 points in the winning case. Samender Juginisov (202-F-87) replied with 13 points for Uzbekistan. Artur Sharafutdinov (200-F-90) provided 6 points in defeat.
