Dubai close to sign Matt Ryan

BC Dubai (Adriatic League) is about to agree terms with 28-year-old USA ex-international swingman Matt Ryan (200cm-98kg-1997, college: Chattanooga) who currently plays at Knicks/19772">Westchester Knicks in NBA G League. He also spent the pre-season with the Knicks in NBA. The other team he played for briefly was the Knicks in NBA G League.
Last year, four years after his graduation, he was drafted by the Westchester Knicks (G-League) as the #1 pick overall.
He graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2020, and it may be his sixth season in pro basketball. Ryan was a member of the USA Senior National Team in 2022.
He has played professionally in the NBA between the New Orleans Pelicans, Denver Nuggets, LA Lakers, and Minnesota Timberwolves. He has also played in the NBA G League during his time with the Iowa Wolves, Maine Celtics, Grand Rapids Gold, and Birmingham Squadron. Additionally, he has participated in the NBA Summer League with the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers. Ryan's team won the NBA G League Showcase Cup in 2025. In addition to his professional career, Ryan has played for other colleges such as Vanderbilt University and the University of Notre Dame.
