Zenit paved their way into the VTB League SuperCup Final as they outscored Dubai Basketball. Zenit will now face their arch rivals CSKA for the trophy.
Dubai Basketball dominated in the first half. They raced to a 54-44 halftime advantage. Dubai extended the lead to as many as 11 points heading into the fourth stanza. But Zenit exploded with 35 points in the final period to snatch the victory. Alexander Poythress (205-C/F-1993, college: Kentucky) stepped up with 25 points, Nenad Dimitrijevic (190-G-1998) added 23 points, while Trent Frazier (188-G-1998, college: Illinois) tossed in 22 in the victory. Dzanan Musa (205-G/F-1999) answered with 25 points for Dubai. Kosta Kondic (193-G-2001) banked in 22 points in the loss.
