Onvo Buyukcekmece Basketbol (BSL) inked experienced 36-year old American 191cm guard Jermaine Love (college: UIS) for upcoming season. It is actually his comeback to Buyukcekmece as he has played here before. Love played most recently at Shabab Al Ahli in UAE ULB league. He also played for Buyukcekmece in Turkish BSL where in 31 games he was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 16.9ppg and recorded 2.7rpg, 3.6apg and 1.4spg (in top 5) last season. Good year as he was voted League Player of the Week.
Love is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Love has played previously professionally in France (Chalon/Saor), Greece (Peristeri, PAOK Mateco Thessaloniki, Kolossos H Hotels Rodou and Holargos), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Italy (Verona), Lithuania (Lietkabelis, Nevezis and Vilniaus), Poland (Trefl), Russia (BC Pari Nizhny Novgorod) and Venezuela (Guaros).
His team won Russian Cup in 2023.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Buyukcekmece.
He graduated from University of Illinois at Springfield in 2012 and it will be his 14th (!!!) season in pro basketball. He played also for Prairie State College for one year.
