Dubai keeps Abass for another season

Awudu Abass

BC Dubai (Adriatic League) re-signed 32-year-old Italian international 198cm small forward Awudu Abass for the new season. He played there last season. In 35 ABA League games, he averaged 11.5ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.4apg, and 1.1spg. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2025.
For four previous seasons (2020-24) he played at Virtus Bologna (Serie A) in Italian league. The team played in three different competitions (!!!) that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. He also played 42 games in Italian Serie A where he had 7.7ppg and 2.7rpg in 2023-24 year. He helped them to win the Supercup and make to league final. Abass also played 31 games in Euroleague where he recorded 4.4ppg and 1.7rpg in 2023-24 year.
He has also been a member of the Italian international program for some years. Abass has regularly played for the Italian senior team since 2014 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
He also represented Italy at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in San Juan (Puerto Rico) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 6.3 ppg and had 2.3 rpg.
Abass has played ppg for two other Italian teams: Cantu and Brescia. He was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Honorable Mention in 2025.
