Dubai signs Wael Arakji

Wael Arakji

BC Dubai (Adriatic League) signed 30-year old Lebanese international guard Wael Arakji (193cm-85kg-1994). He started the season at Al Arabi in Qatari QBL league. In three games he was league's fourth best scorer with impressive 19.3ppg and averaged 4.0rpg, 4.7apg (top 4) and 1.3spg. This summer he played at Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut (LBL) in Lebanese league.

He has been also a member of the Lebanese international program for some years. Arakji has regularly played for the Lebanese senior team since 2015 and previously for the Under 18 National Team back in 2012.
He also represented Lebanon at the FIBA World Cup in Philippines-Japan-Indonesia last year. His team won Silver and he had 18 points per game.

Arakji is quite experienced player. He has played in six different countries on three different continents (Asia, Africa and of course North America). Arakji has played previously in China (Royal Fighters), Kuwait (Jahraa), Tunisia (US Monastir), Lebanon (Beirut Club) and NBA Summer League (Dallas Mavericks). He won Basketball League Asia championship title in 2024. Arakji was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Lebanese League Guard of the Year in 2024.
