Sharjah qualifies for the Final of Int’l Basketball Champ.

For the second year in a row, Sharjah has secured a spot in the final of the 5th Sharjah International Basketball Championship (SIBC), following a 70-59 victory over Al Bataeh in the semi-final match held on Monday evening at Al Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club.Sharjah’s men's team will compete against Lebanon’s Hoops in the final. The final is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at 7:00 PM at Al-Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club.Organised by the Sharjah Sports Council in partnership with JAM Club, the tournament runs from September 5 to 10 at Al Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club, featuring six teams from five countries: the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Lebanon.Sharjah, the reigning champion, has won the title twice before. Their first triumph came against Egypt’s Al-Jazira in the second edition in February 2014, and they claimed their second title last season by defeating Lebanon’s Antonine team in March 2024.
