Dubai inks Davis Bertans

Davis Bertans

BC Dubai (Adriatic League) agreed terms with 31-year old Latvian international small forward Davis Bertans (208cm-102kg-1992) for new 2024-25 season. He played last season at Charlotte Hornets in the NBA. In 28 games he had 8.8ppg and 1.8rpg.
In 2011 he was drafted by Indiana Pacers (NBA) in second round (42nd overall).
Bertans has been also a member of the Latvian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Latvian senior team since 2011 and previously for the Under 19 National Team back in 2011.
Bertans also represented Latvia at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in Riga (Latvia) this year. During this event he scored an average of 8.5 points per game and had 2 rebounds per game.
He is quite experienced player. Bertans has played also in Serbia (Partizan), Slovenia (Petrol Olimpija Ljubljana), Spain (Baskonia), NBA (Dallas Mavericks, Washington Wizards and San Antonio Spurs), Latvia (Barons Riga, ASK Riga, BA Riga and ASK Kadeti-2), NBA G League (Austin Spurs) and NBA Summer League (San Antonio Spurs).
Among many awards he won NBA Southwest Division championship title in 2017. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) Honorable Mention back in 2017.
