Awudu Abass (ex Virtus BO) signs at Dubai

Awudu Abass

BC Dubai (Adriatic League) signed 31-year-old Italian international 198cm small forward Awudu Abass for the upcoming season. He spent the last four years with Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the Italian Serie A.

In 42 Serie A games, he averaged 7.7ppg and 2.7rpg last season, contributing to their Supercup victory and league final appearance. Additionally, Abass played 31 games in the Euroleague, where he averaged 4.4ppg and 1.7rpg.
He has also been a member of the Italian international program for some years. Abass has regularly played for the Italian senior team since 2014 and previously for the Under 20 National Team in 2013.
He also represented Italy at the FIBA Olympic Games Qualifying Tournament in San Juan (Puerto Rico) this year. During this event he scored an average of 6.3 ppg and had 2.3 rpg.
Abass has played previously professionally also in Italy (Cantu and Brescia) and between Italy.
Among many awards, he was voted to Eurobasket.com Italian Serie A All-Domestic Players Team in 2020.
