Egypt paved their way into Arab Basketball Championship Final. They saw off UAE in the semifinal clash in Cairo tonight. Amr Gendy (192-G-1991) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
UAE sank 28 points in the first period to jump to a 6-point lead. But Egypt quickly turned things around. The home side used a 27-18 rally to ensure a 49-46 halftime lead. Egypt went on a massive 65-32 second half run to ice the victory. Yusuf Shehata (175-PG-1996, college: PLNU) notched 24 points in the win. Demarco Cristian replied with 29 points for UAE.
