Ihab Al-Zuhairi (210-C-1998) paced Iraq past UAE at the 2025 Asia Cup Pre-Qualifiers. He collected 20 points and 15 rebounds as his side won 82-74. Iraq erupted with a 27-13 surge at the start, whilst UAE reduced the gap after a 25-14 rally in the second period. Both teams nailed 17 points each in the third quarter and then Iraq closed the game with a final 24-19 run.
Demario Mayfield (196-G-1991, college: Angelo St.) scored 19 points for the winners and Ali Ismael (199-F-1994) netted 12. Qais Alshabebi (200-C-1991) answered with 24 points and 11 rebounds in defeat.
