Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most exciting game of round 17 in the D1 took place in Sharjah. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Ahli Shabab (15-2) to third ranked Al Sharjah (13-4) 70-68 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of Ahli Shabab. Al Sharjah maintains third place with 13-4 record having just three points less than leader Al Naser, which they share with Al Wasl. Defending champion Ahli Shabab keeps the second position with two games lost.
D1 top team - Al Naser (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Al Bataeh (8-9) in Dubai 100-71. Al Naser have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Al Bataeh at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost.
Bottom-ranked Al Ain is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 17th consecutive match to seventh ranked Al Dhafra (6-11) 74-55 on Wednesday evening. Newly promoted Al Dhafra maintains seventh place with 6-11 record. Al Ain at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Abu Dhabi: Banijas (#6) and Al Wahda (#9). Banijas (7-10) won against visiting Al Wahda (3-14) 90-81. Banijas maintains sixth place with 7-10 record. Newly promoted Al Wahda keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost.

In the last game of round 17 Al Jazeera was smashed by Al Wasl on the road 78-57.



Al Naser - Al Bataeh 100-71

D1 top team - Al Naser (16-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Al Bataeh (8-9) in Dubai 100-71. Al Naser have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 16-1 record. Al Bataeh at the other side keeps the fifth position with nine games lost.

Al Sharjah - Ahli Shabab 70-68

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Al Wasl (13-4) crushed 8th ranked Al Jazeera (4-13) in Dubai 78-57. Al Wasl moved-up to third place, which they share with Al Sharjah. Newly promoted Al Jazeera keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost.

Al-Wahda basketball team beat the United Arab Emirates national team 85-76 in the match held Monday at Maktoum bin Mohammed Hall in Dubai as part of the 30th Dubai International Basketball Championship.
