Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

D1 top team - Al Naser (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Al Jazeera (2-9) in Abu Dhabi 91-67. Undefeated Al Naser have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Al Jazeera lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. They share it with Al Wahda. Al Naser are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Al Ain (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Jazeera's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Abu Dhabi Al Wahda.
Bottom-ranked Al Ain is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to sixth ranked Banijas (5-6) 93-53. Banijas moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Bataeh. Al Ain lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Banijas will play against Al Bataeh (#5) in the next round. Al Ain will play against the league's leader Al Naser (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in was also quite interesting. Third ranked Al Sharjah (9-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Al Dhafra (3-8). Al Sharjah did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 75-58 on Thursday. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Al Sharjah. They maintain third place with 9-2 record having just two points less than leader Al Naser. Newly promoted Al Dhafra keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Al Sharjah will meet Al Wasl (#4) in the next round. Al Dhafra will play against the league's second-placed Ahli Shabab and hope to secure a win.
The game between 9th ranked Al Wahda (2-9) and second ranked Ahli Shabab (10-1) in Abu Dhabi ended with biggest points difference. Guests from Dubai outscored Al Wahda 115-72. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Ahli Shabab. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-1 record behind leader Al Naser. Al Wahda lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Ahli Shabab's next round opponent will be Al Dhafra (#7) which should be theoretically another easy game. Al Wahda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Abu Dhabi to the arena Al Jazeera.

In the last game of round 11 Al Bataeh was beaten by Al Wasl on the road 79-65.



Al Ain - Banijas 53-93

Bottom-ranked Al Ain is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 11th consecutive match to sixth ranked Banijas (5-6) 93-53. Al Wasl's next round opponent will be higher ranked Al Sharjah (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Here is the last round review presented by ESL. The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Al Naser (13-1) in Dubai on Monday night. Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) signed 33-year old Bulgarian ex-international power forward Cedric Simmons (206-107kg-86, college: NC State). He joins another USA player Sammy Monroe which is already in the roster.
Simmons is a dual citizen owning also American passport. He has played for the last two seasons at Kalev/Cramo in Latvian LatEstBL. Simmons managed to play in three leagues last year

Defending champion Ahli Shabab Dubai (D1) added to their roster 33-year old American (has also Iraqi passport) forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry). He played recently at Homentmen in Lebanese LBL league. He helped them to make it to the Supercup final. The last season Monroe played at Al Gharafa in D1 where in 18 games he had very impressive stats: 20.3ppg, 10.1rpg, 5.8apg (top 4) and 1.8spg.
