TONY MITCHELL

Al Wasl Dubai (D1) added to their roster 26-year old American forward Tony Mitchell (203-107kg-92, college: N.Texas). He played last season at Leones de Santo Domingo in LNB league in Dominican Republic.
In 2013 Mitchell was drafted by Detroit Pistons (NBA) in second round (37th overall). He attended University of North Texas and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Mitchell won Venezuelan LPB championship title in 2016. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LPB Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.
Mitchell represented USA at the World Championships U19 in Latvia seven years ago. His stats at that event were 9 games: 5.0ppg, 7.6rpg, Blocks-3 (1.8bpg).
Mitchell is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in nine different countries. Mitchell tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in China (Guangxi), France (Limoges CSP Elite), Israel (Galil Gilboa and Maccabi Haifa), Philippines (Hotshots), Puerto Rico (Atleticos), NBA (Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns), Venezuela (Panteras and Cocodrilos) and NBA G League (Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Grand Rapids Drive).

Al Sharjah (D1) signed 31-year old Syrian international point guard William Alhaddad (185-87). He has played for the last five seasons at Al Jaish in Syrian Division I.
