Ali Hameed
Al Wahda (D1) signed 27-year old American guard Hameed Ali (188-82kg-93, college: TAMUCC). He joins another USA player Nick West who is already in the roster.
Ali already started the season at Panteras in Mexican LNBP. In 6 games he had 13.2ppg, 2.7rpg, 4.0apg and 1.3spg this season.
He is quite experienced player. Ali has played in four different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). He has played previously professionally also in Georgia (Olimpi), Puerto Rico (Brujos), United Kingdom (Bristol Acadamy Flyers) and Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan, Ostioneros de Guaymas and Garra Canera de Navolato).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team won Mexican CIBACOPA Regular Season in 2018. Ali was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP 2nd Team in 2019.
Ali attended Texas A&M University Corpus Christi until 2016 and it is his fifth season as a professional player.
