Diaby number one in Thailand BTL for round 3

Mali Forward Ibrahim Diaby (197-F-2001) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Crypto Cobra Chiangrai, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Banvas (#7, 1-3) 89-81. It allowed Cobras to consolidate first place in the Thailand BTL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Crypto Cobra already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Diaby had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cobras, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ibrahim Diaby has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 12.3rpg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 75.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young South Sudanese Nyang Wek (203-F-1996) of Banvas Slammers. Wek had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Slammers lost that game 81-89 to Crypto Cobra (4-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Wek is one of the most experienced players at Banvas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. Former star Wek is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Eric Freeman (202-F-1997) of Shoot it Dragons (#5). Freeman scored 22 points and grabbed 24 rebounds (!!!). Despite Freeman's great performance the Dragons lost 91-95 to TGE (#3, 3-1). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Shoot it Dragons needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Freeman has a great season in Thailand. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.3ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 19.0rpg (#1 in league).
