Martin Breunig (ex Nancy) joins Hamburg

Veolia Towers Hamburg (BBL) agreed terms with 33-year old double-passport holder Thailand power forward Martin Breunig (203cm-103kg-1992, college: Montana). He started the season at Sluc Nancy Basket Pro in French Betclic ELITE ProA. In 6 games he had 9.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 2.0apg. Last season he played at MBC. He also played 19 games in German BBL where he recorded 10.8ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.8apg. Breunig helped them to win the cup.
Breunig represented Germany at the FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers this year. His team won Bronze and he averaged over 15 ppg.
Breunig has spent his entire career in Germany playing for three other teams: EnBW Ludwigsburg, Telekom Baskets, and EWE Baskets.
He was voted to the German Bundesliga All-Star Game in 2019.
Breunig graduated from the University of Montana in 2016 and it's his tenth season as a pro player. He played for other colleges such as The University of Washington and the U.S. Military Academy.
