The most exciting game of round 7 in the TEBA took place in Bangkok. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 3rd placed Red Dragons (4-3) to second ranked Sharks (5-2) 92-91 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Red Dragons. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Emmanuel Ejesu (203-2004) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Takamin Sirijariyaporn (181-1997) contributed with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Anthony Vanhook (193, college: Charlotte) answered with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 19 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals for Red Dragons. Red Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion maintains second place with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Coyotes. Red Dragons at the other side keep the third position with three games lost.
TEBA top team - Coyotes (7-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Crocodiles (1-4) 102-97. It was a great evening for American guard Jaron Kirkley (191-1997, college: Whitman) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 7 rebounds. Accheaus Fields helped adding 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American guard Jamarcus Clark (196, college: BMCU) responded with a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists. Undefeated Coyotes have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Newly promoted Crocodiles keep the fifth position with four games lost.
Bottom-ranked Manta Rays is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fifth ranked Raptors (2-5) 120-72 on Sunday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Marius Hopkins who led the winners with a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 20 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. PJ Gill came up with 26 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for Manta Rays in the defeat. Raptors moved-up to fourth place. Manta Rays lost their fifth game in a row. Manta Rays at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost.
