TBL Round 2 of Semi-Finals. TGE and HiTech reach Finals- September 2, 2019
Mad Goat - TGE 72-96 Raptors - HiTech 69-119 HiTech drubbed Raptors to ensure the TBL Finals berth. HiTech dominated down low during the game scoring 98 of its points in the paint compared to Raptors' 46. HiTech forced 26 Raptors turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 39 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Raptors' players. HiTech brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American players dominated the game. Swingman Raymond Canady-Jr (201-84, college: Valdosta St.) scored 39 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 19-of-24 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and power forward Kenny Hall (206-90, college: Tennessee) chipped in 29 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Canady Jr. is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Avery Scharer (185-86, college: Shoreline CC) responded with 17 points and 8 assists and center Anthony McClain (211-88, college: Cincinnati) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
