Dupree number one in Thailand for round 6 (by Interperformances) - Mar 12, 2019

  follow us on Facebook Twitter

American Forward Xavier Dupree (206-F-94) had an amazing evening in the last round for PEA, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 19 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Malaysia Matrix (#6, 2-5) 94-86. PEA was forced-out from the top positions in Thailand TBSL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. PEA will need more victories to improve their 5-2 record. In the team's last game Dupree had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 12 attempts. He just recently signed at PEA, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former University of Houston star has very solid stats this year. Dupree is in league's top in points (9th best: 18.2ppg) and averages impressive 2.3spg and 50.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 30-year old American Raymond Miller (204-C-88) of Pilipinas. Miller had a very good evening with a double-double of 34 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Pilipinas lost that game 88-106 to the higher-ranked Hitech (#1, 6-1). This loss caused Pilipinas to drop to 7th position in the standings. 5 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Pilipinas managed to get this year. Miller is one of the most experienced players at Pilipinas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.0ppg (#2). He also registered 15.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was Filipino guard Almond Vosotros (175-PG) of Adroit (#5). Vosotros got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. Despite Vosotros' great performance Adroit lost 66-76 to the higher-ranked Kabayan (#2, 6-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Adroit ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Vosotros could help Adroit to bring them higher in the standings. Vosotros has a very solid season. In 2 games in Thailand he scored 24.5ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Bobby Syvanthong (179-PG) of Luang - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists
5. Avery Scharer (185-PG-86) of Hitech - 20 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists
6. Nouchan Thavong (G) of Luang - 29 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Rashad Ali (198-C) of SWU - 22 points and 14 rebounds
8. Christien Charles (216-F/C-81) of Hitech - 18 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Nicholas Wiggins (198-PF-91) of Hitech - 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Russell Permenter (203-C-88) of Luang - 16 points and 20 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Mono Vampire Complete Sweep of the Formosa Dreamers in Game 2 - 2 months ago
The eight-placed Mono Vampire Basketball Club completed the upset against the top-seeded Formosa Dreamers at home, 70-68, in Game 2 of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) quarterfinals. Romeo Travis (198-PF-84, college: Akron) made two winning plays in the clutch to allow last season's runners-up to advance to the semifinals after scoring the go-ahead basket, and forcing a jump ball that gave them the final possession with 2.8 seconds to go in the game. The Dreamers had the lead and the pos...   [read more]
