32-year old point guard Avery Scharer (185-PG-86) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Hitech and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Malaysia Matrix (#7, 1-5) with 18-point margin 99-81. Hitech was forced-out from the top positions in Thailand league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Hitech already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Scharer had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Hitech and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is in league's top in assists (4th best: 7.4apg) and averages solid 53.6% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Allen (213-C-92) of top-ranked PEA. He is Jamaican-American center in his first season at PEA. In the last game Allen recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for PEA to edge the lower-ranked SWU (#6, 1-5) by 5 points 95-90. This victory allowed PEA to move up to 1st position in the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 5 matches. Allen is one of the most experienced players at PEA and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another PEA's star - forward Xavier Dupree (206-F-94). Dupree showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, twenty one rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of PEA, helping his team with a 95-90 win against the lower-ranked SWU (#6, 1-5). PEA confirms their top position in the standings. Dupree has a great season in Thailand. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.0ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 17.6rpg (#1 in league).
