PATRICK SANDERS

Defensor Sporting Club Montevideo (LUB) strengthened their roster with addition of 32-year old American forward Patrick Sanders (201-98kg-85, college: Cal-Irvine, agency: DTMones). He played in the summer at Mono Thew in Thailand TBSL. In 19 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.9ppg, 8.3rpg and 4.4apg. Sanders helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals.
In 2008 he was drafted by Albany Patroons (CBA) in second round (6th overall).
Sanders attended University of California-Irvine and it will be his eleventh (!!!) season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements he played in the final of Thailand TBSL in 2017. Sanders received also Asia-Basket.com All-Thailand TBSL 1st Team award in 2017.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Sanders' pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America) in eight different countries. Sanders has played previously professionally also in Argentina (Ferrocarril), Australia, France (Charleville Mezieres), Holland, Japan (Iwate Big Bulls and Shinshu Brave Warriors Nagano), Latvia and Mexico.
