TGE - Mono Vampire 92-87

TGE held off Mono Vampire to even the series at 1-1. TGE forced 19 Mono Vampire turnovers. Strangely Mono Vampire outrebounded TGE 46-34 including 33 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. TGE looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TGE made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Mono Vampire helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) scored 27 points and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St., agency: HMS) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all five shots) during the contest. American forward Michael Singletary (198-88, college: Texas Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Four Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

PEA - Hitech 69-101

Hitech remained alive in the semifinal clash as they rallied past PEA. Hitech outrebounded PEA 54-36 including a 42-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American guard Avery Scharer (188-86, college: Shoreline CC) notched a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and international guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) supported him with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Hitech players scored in double figures. Hitech's coach Chris Daleo felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists by American guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) did not help to save the game for PEA. Guard Eaktanat To-Ngiw added 9 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
