MICHAEL SINGLETARY

American Forward Michael Singletary (198-F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Mono Vampire, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 16.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 32 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat PEA (#4, 10-8) 84-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Mono Vampire maintains the 2nd position in Thailand TBL. They are still close to the very top. Mono Vampire would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 16-2 record. Singletary has many years of experience at Mono Vampire, through which he has constantly improved. Former Texas Tech University star has very solid stats this year. Singletary is in league's top in points (4th best: 22.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 9.4rpg) and averages impressive 55.7% FGP. Worth to mention Singletary played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was Nouchan Thavong of Bangkok Tigers. had a very good evening with a triple-double of 26 points, 13 rebounds and 16 assists. Of course he led Bangkok Tigers to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked T-REX (#10, 2-16) 108-82. Bangkok Tigers' 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-11 record. Thavong is one of the most experienced players at Bangkok Tigers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.6ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 7.9apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Gregoryshon Magee (206-F-90) of Mad Goat (#8). Magee scored 26 points and grabbed 31 rebounds (!!!). Despite Magee's great performance Mad Goat lost 97-100 to slightly higher-ranked SWU (#7, 7-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mad Goat not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 12 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Magee could try to bring Mad Goat's a little bit higher in the standings. Magee has individually a great season in Thailand. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.5rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 58.7%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anthony McClain (211-C-88) of Hitech - 22 points and 16 rebounds
5. Anthony Allen (213-C-92) of Bangkok Tigers - 21 points and 22 rebounds
6. Michael Earl (203-F-85) of Mekong United - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Patrick Cabahug (186-G) of Mad Goat - 30 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
8. Jason Brickman (181-PG-91) of Mono Vampire - 11 points, 9 rebounds and 15 assists
9. Arnold Louis (201-F-90) of TGE - 23 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
