SAMUEL DEGUARA

26-year old center Samuel Deguara (223-C-91) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Mono Vampire and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 12.
He had a double-double of 37 points and 16 rebounds, while his team crushed Mad Goat (#8, 4-9) with 16-point margin 87-71. Mono Vampire maintains the 2nd position in Thailand league. They are still close to the very top. Mono Vampire would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 11-2 record. Deguara just recently signed at Mono Vampire, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Deguara has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (8th best: 20.6ppg), rebounds (4th best: 12.9rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 62.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Allen (213-C-92) of T-REX. He is Jamaican-American center in his first season at T-REX. In the last game Allen recorded impressive double-double of 29 points and 21 rebounds. Bad luck as T-REX lost that game 71-103 to the higher-ranked Hitech (#1, 12-1). T-REX are still at the very bottom. 11 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories T-REX managed to get this year. Allen is one of the most experienced players at T-REX and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.1ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 18.0rpg and 3.7apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Marcus Douthit (210-C/F-80) of Mekong United (#9). Douthit scored 20 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Douthit's great performance Mekong United lost 70-83 to slightly higher-ranked Black Scorpions (#7, 5-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Mekong United not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 9 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Douthit could try to bring Mekong United's a little bit higher in the standings. Douthit has a very solid season. In 11 games in Thailand he scored 11.4ppg. He also has 8.7rpg, 4.0apg and FGP: 53.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Avery Scharer (188-G-86) of Hitech - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Arnold Louis (201-F-90) of TGE - 28 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Michael Earl (203-F-85) of Mekong United - 29 points and 11 rebounds
7. Mark Yee (191-F-82) of PEA - 25 points and 9 rebounds
8. Tawatchai Suktub) of Black Scorpions - 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Anthony McClain (211-C-88) of TGE - 13 points and 11 rebounds
10. Tyler Lamb (196-G-91) of Hitech - 21 points, 3 rebounds and 9 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over. Mono Vampire Take Down Knights, Force Game 3 - 28 days ago
With their season on the line, the Mono Vampire Basketball Club proved to be resilient once again. The Thailand squad used a strong second half to come up with a 79-71 Game 2 victory over the BTN CLS Knights Indonesia, Wednesday night at the GSB Stadium 29 in Nonthaburi. Michael Singletary (198-F-88, college: Texas Tech) overcame a slow start to end up with 25 points on 5-of-14 shooting to go along with 13 rebounds. 'It's do-or-die. Knights Hold Off Mono Vampire In Physical Game 1 - 1 month ago
The intense semifinals matchup between the BTN CLS Knights Indonesia and Mono Vampire Basketball Club certainly lived up to the billing. After the dust settled, it was the fourth-seed Knights who came out with an 86-77 victory, Sunday night at GOR Kertajaya in Surabaya. Maxie Esho (206-F/C-91, college: Massachusetts, agency: Two Points) laid the groundwork with 21 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. But it was the brilliant play of two locals that placed Indonesia just o...   [read more]

Mono Vampire Complete Sweep of the Formosa Dreamers in Game 2 - 1 month ago
The eight-placed Mono Vampire Basketball Club completed the upset against the top-seeded Formosa Dreamers at home, 70-68, in Game 2 of the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) quarterfinals. Romeo Travis (198-PF-84, college: Akron) made two winning plays in the clutch to allow last season's runners-up to advance to the semifinals after scoring the go-ahead basket, and forcing a jump ball that gave them the final possession with 2.8 seconds to go in the game. The Dreamers had the lead and the pos...   [read more]
