Hitech earned TBL title. They outgunned Mono Vampire to sweep the championship series. Mono Vampire trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 87-95 at the end of the game. Hitech made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Avery Scharer (188-86, college: Shoreline CC) scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Maltese center Samuel Deguara (223-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Hitech and five Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. Mono Vampire's coach Douglas Marty rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TGE clinched TBL Bronze as they rallied past PEA in the consolation final. The game without a history. TGE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TGE outrebounded PEA 53-39 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 44 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by PEA's players. American guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) notched 34 points (!!!) to lead the effort and Filipino-Canadian guard Alfred Mandani (182-87, college: Missouri S&T) supported him with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. TGE's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds by power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) did not help to save the game for PEA. American guard Jeremiah Gray (193, college: Dominican, CA) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
