Hitech celebarte GSB TBL title - Jul 22, 2018

      FINAL
      Mono Vampire - Hitech 87-95

Hitech earned TBL title. They outgunned Mono Vampire to sweep the championship series. Mono Vampire trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 24-20 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 87-95 at the end of the game. Hitech made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American guard Avery Scharer (188-86, college: Shoreline CC) scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and international guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Maltese center Samuel Deguara (223-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Filipino-American point guard Jason Brickman (181-91, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 15 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Hitech and five Mono Vampire players scored in double figures. Mono Vampire's coach Douglas Marty rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

      3-4 Place
      TGE - PEA 132-97

TGE clinched TBL Bronze as they rallied past PEA in the consolation final. The game without a history. TGE led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TGE outrebounded PEA 53-39 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 44 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by PEA's players. American guard Joshua Munzon (191-95, college: CS Los Angeles) notched 34 points (!!!) to lead the effort and Filipino-Canadian guard Alfred Mandani (182-87, college: Missouri S&T) supported him with 12 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. TGE's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds by power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) did not help to save the game for PEA. American guard Jeremiah Gray (193, college: Dominican, CA) added 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
