Brooks number one in Taiwanese PLeague+ for round 19

American Power forward De'Mon Brooks (202-PF-1992) had a great game in the last round for TSG Ghosthawks, receiving a Hoops Agents PLeague+ Player of the Week award for round 19.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat YKE (#4, 4-19) 102-88. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Ghosthawks maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese PLeague+. Ghosthawks is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-12 record. In the team's last game Brooks had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. It's his second year at Ghosthawks and it's hard to imagine this team without him. Former Davidson College star has very solid stats this year. Brooks is in league's top in points (2nd best: 20.2ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 53.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Cameron McGriff (201-F-1997) of Hsinchu Yankey Engineering. McGriff had a very good evening with a double-double of 32 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as YKE lost that game 88-102 to slightly higher-ranked Ghosthawks (#3, 11-12). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. YKE still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 19 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories YKE managed to get this year. McGriff is one of the most experienced players at YKE and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Senegalese forward Mouhamed Mbaye (208-F-2001) of league's second-best Taipei Fubon Braves. Mbaye scored 26 points and passed 4 assists. He was a key player of Braves, leading his team to a 117-96 easy win against #4 ranked YKE. Fubon Braves needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 12 victories and 12 lost games. Mbaye has a great season in Taiwan. After 22 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 15.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 7.0rpg (8th best). He also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 52.4%. Mouhamed Mbaye has also Taiwanese passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
