Very significant was Braves' (#2, 12-12) victory against 4th placed YKE (4-19) 117-96. Fubon Braves forced 21 YKE turnovers and outrebounded them 52-41 including 18 on the offensive glass. Fubon Braves looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory scoring 33 points (!!!) and 4 assists. The former international forward Mouhamed Mbaye (208-2001, college: Trinity Valley) helped adding 26 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). At the losing side Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. It was an exceptional evening for American De'Mon Brooks (202-1992, college: Davidson) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Fardaws Aimaq accounted for 17 points and 17 rebounds. American forward Cameron McGriff (201-1997, college: OK State) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists for YKE in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ghosthawks maintains third place with 11-12 record having seven points less than leader Pilots. YKE lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 19 games lost. Ghosthawks will play against league's leader Pilots in Taoyuan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
