Marin Maric gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese TPBL (by Hoops Agents)

Experienced Croatian Marin Maric (211-C-1994, agency: BIG) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Hsinchu Lioneers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds, while his team crushed Kings (#5, 19-17) with 20-point margin 98-78. Lioneers maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese TPBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Lioneers will need more victories to improve their 22-14 record. In the team's last game Maric had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Lioneers, being already a very valuable addition to the team. De Paul University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Maric is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 53.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American shooting guard Jalen Harris (196-SG-1998) of New Taipei Kings. Harris impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 33 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. It was enough for Kings to edge the higher-ranked Taiwan Beer L. (#1, 23-13) by 3 points 97-94. Kings' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 19-17 record is not bad and everything may still change. Harris is one of the most experienced players at Kings and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.1ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 5.9rpg and 4.9apg.

The third best performed player last round was another Lioneers' star - American Drew Pember (211-F/C-2000). Pember showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Hsinchu Lioneers, helping his team with a 102-99 win against the lower-ranked Kaohsiung A. (#7, 9-27). Lioneers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 22 victories and 14 lost games. Pember has a great season in Taiwan. After 34 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.8ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 11.5rpg (6th best). He also has 1.1bpg and a FGP of 66.8%.

10. Jason Washburn (213-C-1990) of Kings - 16 points, 18 rebounds and 2 assists
