Cathay Life - Chunghua T. 66-52

The game was mostly controlled by Tigers. Chunghwa Telecom managed to win fourth quarter 11-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom's 22. Cathay Life forced 19 Chunghua T. turnovers and outrebounded them 48-30 including 16 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Cathay Life made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Shelby Cheslek (196-1992, college: Gonzaga, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. Five Tigers players scored in double figures. The former international swingman Yushu Lin (168-1996) answered with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) added 5 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Chunghua T.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
