Brandon Moss gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese SBL

Experienced American Brandon Moss (204-PF-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Yulon Luxgen Dinos and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents SBL Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 31-year old power forward had a double-double of 27 points and 21 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Keelung BK (#3, 13-15) 78-75. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Despite this loss Yulon Luxgen managed to keep Taiwanese SBL leading position. They afford to lose this game, but they have to be very careful to avoid similar "accidents". Yulon Luxgen has a very solid 19-9 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Moss had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Yulon Luxgen, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Louisiana State University at Alexandria graduate has very impressive stats this year. Moss is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.8ppg and leads league in rebounds with 17.8rpg. Moss is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 6.1apg) and averages solid 2.2bpg and 57.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Mongolian guard Cheng-An Hsieh (190-G-2000) of Taiwan Beer. Hsieh impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course he led Taiwan Beer to another comfortable win 88-71 over slightly higher-ranked Bank of Taiwan (#2, 18-10) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Taiwan Beer consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 12-16 record. Hsieh is one of the most experienced players at Taiwan Beer and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Hung-Yu Huang (185-G-1999) of Keelung Black Kites (#3). Huang scored 18 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. Despite Huang's great performance the Keelung BK lost 68-71 to slightly lower-ranked Changhua (#5, 8-20). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Keelung BK ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 15 games, recording just thirteen victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Huang could help Keelung BK to bring them higher in the standings. Huang has a very solid season. In 21 games in Taiwan he scored 3.6ppg.

10. Po-Hsun Chou (197-PF-1991) of Taiwan Beer - 5 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists
