Goodwin's 38-point game gives him PLeague+ Player of the Week award

31-year old American guard Archie Goodwin (196-G-1994) had a very impressive game in the last round for Taipei Fubon Braves and receives a Hoops Agents PLeague+ Player of the Week award for round 15.
He had the game-high 38 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Fubon Braves in his team's victory, helping them to crush Pilots (#1, 16-2) with 19-point margin 114-95. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Braves maintains the 3rd position in Taiwanese PLeague+. Fubon Braves is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-12 record. In the team's last game Goodwin had a remarkable 55.0% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Braves' top player in his first season with the team. University of Kentucky graduate has very impressive stats this year. Goodwin is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.2ppg. Goodwin is in league's top in and averages solid 52.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Cameron McGriff (201-F-1997) of Hsinchu Yankey Engineering. He is American forward in his first season at YKE. In the last game McGriff recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as YKE was edged by slightly higher-ranked Fubon Braves (#3, 9-12) 91-89. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. YKE still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 15 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories YKE managed to get this year. McGriff is one of the most experienced players at YKE and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another YKE's star - center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-C-1991, agency: BIG). Kupsas scored 19 points and grabbed 18 rebounds (!!!). Despite Kupsas' great performance the Hsinchu Yankey Engineering lost 89-91 to #3 ranked Fubon Braves. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. YKE can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 3-15 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Kupsas has individually a great season in Taiwan. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.1ppg (5th best) and rebounds with 11.3rpg (#1 in league).
