WSBL Round 26 (Regular Season): Chunghua T. is defeated by Taipower

The most important game in the last round was the one between second ranked Chunghwa Telecom (12-14) and fourth ranked Power (6-20) on Saturday night. Chunghwa Telecom was defeated by Power in a tough game 63-68. The former international Yi-Wen Zhang (173-1996) scored 22 points and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Rui-Zhen Song (160) chipped in 10 points during the contest. The former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds. Chunghwa Telecom's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Taipower maintains fourth position with 6-20 record. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second place with 14 games lost. Taipower are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Chunghua T. will play against Taiyuan T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers (24-2) have an impressive 20-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Taiyuan T. at the other side keeps the third place with 16 games lost. Cathay Life will play against bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Taiyuan T. will play against the league's second-placed Chunghua T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
