Huang number one in Taiwan WSBL for round 23

International Power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-F/C-1993) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Chunghua Telecom, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 32-year old player was the main contributor (33 points, four rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Taiyuan T. (#3, 9-14) with 18-point margin 78-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Chunghwa Telecom maintains the 2nd position in Taiwanese WSBL. Chunghua T. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 11-12 record. In the team's last game Huang had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. She has many years of experience at Chunghwa Telecom, through which she has constantly improved. Hsiang-Ting Huang has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 10.3ppg) and rebounds (4th best: 6.0rpg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Chunghua T.'s star - American Oshlynn Brown (185-F). Brown had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 19 rebounds. Of course together with Huang she helped Chunghua Telecom with another comfortable win 78-60 over slightly lower-ranked Taiyuan T. (#3, 9-14) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Chunghwa Telecom consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-12 record. Brown is one of the most experienced players at Chunghwa Telecom and similarly like Hsiang-Ting Huang has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.8ppg (#1). She also registered 11.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-C-2005) of league's top team Cathay Life Tigers. Hsiao showcased her all-around game by recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was a key player of Tigers, leading her team to a 72-60 win against #4 ranked Taipower. Many experts and fans count Cathay Life as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 21 victories and only two lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Hsiao has a great season in Taiwan. After 23 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 13.5ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.5rpg (#1 in league). She also has 1.3bpg and a FGP of 54.0%.
