WSBL Round 20 (Regular Season): Taiyuan T. defeat Taipower in the closest game of the week

The most exciting game of round 20 in the WSBL ended with only three-point defeat of one of their biggest challengers Power (5-15) to third ranked Taiyuan Textile (8-12) 55-52 in the game for the third place. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Ajae Petty (190-2002, college: Ohio St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds and center Wei-Qing Liao (180) who added 11 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Taiyuan Textile's coach used entire bench in such tough game. point guard Qin-Yu Huang (168) responded with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Taiyuan T. maintains third position with 8-12 record having ten points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost. Taiyuan T. are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Chunghua T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Defending champion maintains first position. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second place with 11 games lost. Cathay Life will play against Taiyuan T. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chunghua T. will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. The winners were led by center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-1994) supported her with 20 points.
