Pember's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

25-year old American power forward Drew Pember (211-F/C-2000) had a very impressive game in the last round for Hsinchu Lioneers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
He had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team crushed Kaohsiung A. (#7, 8-19) with 16-point margin 113-97. Lioneers maintains the 4th position in Taiwanese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Lioneers will need more victories to improve their 14-11 record. In the team's last game Pember had a remarkable four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Lioneers' top player in his first season with the team. University of North Carolina - Asheville graduate has very impressive stats this year. Pember is in league's top in points (5th best: 20.4ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 11.9rpg) and averages solid 64.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Marin Maric (211-C-1994, agency: BIG). He is Croatian center in his first season at Lioneers. In the last game Maric recorded an impressive double-double of 29 points and 16 rebounds. Of course together with Pember he helped Hsinchu Lioneers with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Kings (#3, 15-13) 113-90. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Lioneers consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. His team's 14-11 record is not bad at all. Maric is one of the most experienced players at Lioneers and similarly like Drew Pember has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Cheick Diallo (206-C/F-1996) of league's leader Taiwan Beer Leopards. Diallo scored 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Diallo's great performance the Leopards lost 84-111 to #2 ranked Dreamers. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Taiwan Beer L. needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 18 victories and 9 lost games. Diallo has a great season in Taiwan. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 11.6rpg (4th best).
