PLeague+ Round 12 (Regular Season): Fubon Braves lose to YKE

The most important game in the last round was the one between third ranked Braves (6-11) and fourth ranked YKE (3-10) on Saturday night. Braves were defeated by YKE in a tough game 94-102. YKE made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Fubon Braves turnovers. YKE looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Fubon Braves helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Maltese center Samuel Deguara (230-1991) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) contributed with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) replied with 27 points and 5 rebounds for Fubon Braves. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. YKE maintains fourth position with 3-10 record. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the third place with 11 games lost. YKE are looking forward to face league's leader Pilots in Taoyuan in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fubon Braves will have a break next round.
An interesting game for Pilots (13-1) which played against 3rd ranked Braves (6-11). First ranked Pilots had an easy win 109-91. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Will Artino who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pilots maintains first position with 13-1 record. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the third place with 11 games lost. Pilots will play against bottom-ranked YKE (#4) in Hsinchu in the next round. Fubon Braves will play at home against YKE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The winners were led by Archie Goodwin who scored that evening 28 points and 8 rebounds. Even 19 points and 7 assists by Mao-Wei Ku did not help to save the game for Ghosthawks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fubon Braves maintains third position with 6-11 record having four points less than leader Pilots. Ghosthawks lost third consecutive game. They keep the second place with nine games lost. Fubon Braves will meet bottom-ranked YKE (#4) in the next round. Ghosthawks will play against YKE and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

The most impressive performance of 12th round was 23 points by Yu-Wei Chen of Fubon Braves.



Pilots - Fubon Braves 109-91

An interesting game for Pilots (13-1) which played against 3rd ranked Braves (6-11). First ranked Pilots had an easy win 109-91. Pilots outrebounded Fubon Braves 61-43 including a 42-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pilots players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Fubon Braves were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Chun-Hsiang Lu (190-1997) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Will Artino (211-1992, college: Creighton) who added 20 points and 7 rebounds during the contest.
