Chunghua T. dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Power's 20. Chunghua T. outrebounded Taipower 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Rui-Zhen Song (160) who recorded a double-double by scoring 13 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Chunghua T. maintains second position with 9-9 record having seven points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 13 games lost. I-Hsiu Cheng contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Ajae Petty (190-2002, college: Ohio St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds for Taiyuan T.Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers have an impressive 12-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-2 record. Taiyuan T. at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost.
