The most exciting game of round 7 in the SBL ended with only one-point defeat of 4th placed Taiwan Beer (6-10) to first ranked Bank of Taiwan (10-5) 84-83 on Sunday evening. Bank of Taiwan outrebounded Taiwan Beer 53-34 including a 26-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bank of Taiwan looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Taiwan Beer's players. American power forward James Padgett (203-1991, college: Maryland) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Wei-Cheng Wang (183-1999) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American forward Gerard Tarin (205-1996, college: Nova SE) produced 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan maintains first place with 10-5 record. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against Keelung BK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Worth to mention a great performance of American Brandon Moss (204-1994, college: LSUA) who helped to win the game recording 26 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Shih-Hsuan Lin contributed with 10 points and 7 assists for the winners. The former international guard Kai-Hsiang Hu (190-1991) answered with 11 points and 5 rebounds for Keelung BK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Yulon Luxgen have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 9-6 record behind leader Bank of Taiwan. Keelung BK at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Yulon Luxgen will play against bottom-ranked Changhua (#5) on the road in the next round. Keelung BK will play against Taiwan Beer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

At the losing side Ifeanyi Eboka responded with 3 points and 11 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer maintains fourth place with 6-10 record. Loser Changhua stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Taiwan Beer will meet higher ranked Keelung BK (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Changhua will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and hope to secure a win.
