WSBL round 13 most important game was a victory of Taipower over 4th placed Taiyuan T. 50-45 on Friday night. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Qin-Yu Huang (168) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. point guard Rui-Zhen Song (160) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international center Wen-Yu Lin (180-1995) answered with 20 points and 5 rebounds for Taiyuan Textile. Taipower maintains third place with 5-8 record having six points less than leader Cathay Life. Taiyuan T. lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Taipower are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiyuan T. will play against the league's second-placed Chunghua T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chunghwa Telecom. Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and Ling-Chuan Huang chipped in 16 points. At the losing side the former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record. Chunghua T. at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Cathay Life will play against Taipower (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Chunghua T. will play against Taiyuan T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Tigers (11-2) which played against their biggest opponent Chunghwa Telecom (6-7). First ranked Tigers had an easy win 73-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chunghwa Telecom. Cathay Life dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom's 28. Cathay Life outrebounded Chunghua T. 44-32 including 29 on the defensive glass. Center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-1994) chipped in 16 points. At the losing side the former international guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-1992) responded with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds.
