Hsiao's 14 points and 9 rebounds give her Player of the Week award

20-year old center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-C-2005) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Cathay Life Tigers and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
She had the game-high 14 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Cathay Life in her team's victory, helping them to outclass Chunghua T. (#2, 4-6) with 30-point margin 80-50. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese WSBL. Cathay Life have a solid 8-2 record. It's Hsiao's second year at Tigers and it's hard to imagine this team without her. Hsiao has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (3rd best: 13.4ppg), assists (9th best: 2.6apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 55.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ching Zhuo (172-F-1997) of Taiyuan Textile. She is international forward in her 7th season at Taiyuan T.. In the last game Zhuo recorded an impressive 7 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Of course she led Taiyuan Textile to another comfortable win 61-46 over slightly higher-ranked Taipower (4-6) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Taiyuan T. consolidated its place in top 4 of the standings. Her team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-6 record. Zhuo is one of the most experienced players at Taiyuan T. and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Yi-Wen Zhang (173-PF-1996) of Taiwan Power (#3). Zhang scored 13 points. Despite Zhang's great performance the Power lost 46-61 to #4 ranked Taiyuan T.. But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The chances of Taipower ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 6 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Zhang could help Taipower to bring them higher in the standings. Zhang has a great season in Taiwan. After 10 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 9.8ppg (7th best).
