Huang number one in Taiwan WSBL for round 8

International Forward Ling-Chuan Huang (175-F-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Cathay Life Tigers, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, three rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to crush Chunghua T. (#3, 3-5) with 24-point margin 84-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Tigers to consolidate first place in the Taiwanese WSBL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Cathay Life has a very solid 6-2 record, but they cannot be too comfortable about keeping top position. In the team's last game Huang had a remarkable 63.6% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 10 attempts. She has many years of experience at Tigers, through which she has constantly improved. Ling-Chuan Huang has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (4th best: 12.5ppg), rebounds (6th best: 2.5rpg) and assists (5th best: 1.6apg).

The second best player in last round's games was another Cathay Life's star - young Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-C-2005). Hsiao had a very good evening with a double-double of 10 points and 17 rebounds. Of course together with Huang she helped Cathay Life Tigers with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Chunghua T. (#3, 3-5) 84-60. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Tigers consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team has currently 6-2 record. Hsiao is well-known at Tigers and together with Ling-Chuan Huang are proven team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 12.9ppg (#3). She also registered 14.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Cathay Life's star - international I-Hsiu Cheng (178-SF-1993). Cheng showcased her all-around game by recording 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Cathay Life Tigers, helping her team with a 84-60 easy win against #3 ranked Chunghua T.. Tigers confirms their top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 6 victories and 2 lost games. Cheng has a great season in Taiwan. After only 8 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 6.5rpg (5th best) and assists with 2.9apg (4th best).
