Fubon Braves land Deng Acuoth

Deng Acuoth

Taipei Fubon Braves (PLeague+) signed 29-year-old South Sudanese-Australian international 208cm center Deng Acuoth. He began the season at Al Bataeh in UAE ULB league. Last season, he played for U.S. Monastir (ProA) in the Tunisian league and Apes in the Mongolian MBL, where he averaged 14.7ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.8apg, 1.0spg, and 2.1bpg in 25 games, helping them reach the semifinals. Acuoth was voted to the Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian League All-Defensive Team and the Asia-Basket.com All-Mongolian League Second Team. He also played for Kalleh Mazandaran Amol (Superleague) in the Iranian league, averaging 14.7ppg and 1.8apg in 25 games, contributing to his team's regular season win and semifinal appearance. Acuoth has been a regular member of the South Sudanese Senior National Team since 2020.
Acuoth is a very experienced player, thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in seven different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Australian, and African leagues. Acuoth has played previously in Australia (Adelaide 36ers, Kings, Tigers, Miners, and Raiders), Bahrain (Al-Muharraq), Georgia (Margveti), Iran, Lebanon (Sagesse), Qatar (Al Arabi), and Tunisia.
Among many awards, Acuoth's team won the Tunisian Cup in 2025. He was also selected as the Eurobasket.com All-Caucasus Basketball League Defensive Player of the Year in 2022.
