Huang's double-double lands her Player of the Week award

32-year old power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-F/C-1993) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Chunghua Telecom and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 7.
She had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds, while her team crushed Taiyuan T. (3-4) with 17-point margin 66-49. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Chunghwa Telecom is placed at 2nd position in Taiwanese WSBL. Chunghua T. is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 3-4 record. Huang has many years of experience at Chunghwa Telecom, through which she has constantly improved. Huang has impressive league stats. She is in league's top in points (5th best: 11.4ppg), rebounds (4th best: 6.7rpg) and assists (5th best: 1.9apg).

Second best performed player last round was Ping Luo (168-PG-1996) of top-ranked Cathay Life Tigers. She is international guard in her 7th season at Cathay Life. In the last game Luo recorded an impressive 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Of course she led Tigers to another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Taipower (#3, 3-4) 85-33. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Cathay Life consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. Her team has currently 5-2 record. Luo is one of the most experienced players at Cathay Life and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to another Chunghua T.'s star - guard Szu-Chin Pan (170-G-1992). Pan showcased her all-around game by recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists in the last round. She was another key player of Chunghua Telecom, helping her team with a 66-49 easy win against #4 ranked Taiyuan T.. The chances of Chunghwa Telecom ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 4 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of her teammates, Pan could help Chunghua T. to bring them higher in the standings. Pan has a great season in Taiwan. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 9.6ppg (9th best), rebounds with 5.4rpg (8th best) and assists with 4.4apg (best passer).
