Bogdan Bliznyuk gets MVP of the Week award for Taiwanese TPBL

Experienced Ukrainian Bogdan Bliznyuk (198-SF-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Kaohsiung Aquas and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 30-year old had a double-double of 33 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Taipei TM (#6, 7-8) 108-103. Aquas maintains the 7th position in Taiwanese TPBL. Kaohsiung A. is bottom ranked team in the standings. They need more victories to leave last spot and improve bad 6-13 record. In the team's last game Bliznyuk had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He turned to be Aquas's top player in his first season with the team. Eastern Washington University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bliznyuk is in league's top in points (5th best: 22.7ppg), assists (3rd best: 6.5apg) and averages solid 52.0% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (208-F-1992) of New Taipei CTBC DEA. Todorovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 32 points and 20 rebounds. Bad luck as DEA was edged by the lower-ranked Kaohsiung A. (#7, 6-13) 114-111. This loss caused N.Taipei CTBC to drop to 4th position in the standings. His team's 9-9 record is not bad at all. Todorovic is a newcomer at N.Taipei CTBC and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.9ppg (#4). He also registered 13.9 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Drew Pember (211-F/C-2000) of second-ranked Hsinchu Lioneers. Pember scored 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Lioneers, leading his team to a 95-79 easy win against the lower-ranked Kaohsiung A. (#7, 6-13). Lioneers needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 7 lost games. Pember has a great season in Taiwan. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.1ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 12.3rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.1bpg and a FGP of 67.8%.
